Matazz was born to create a space where contemporary art is experienced in a direct and authentic way. More than an exhibition, it’s a meeting place for emerging artists and audiences, sparking genuine connections and bringing together diverse voices beyond traditional circuits.
Who we are
Who we are
We are a group of university students based in
Zurich, each studying different subjects but
sharing a common passion for contemporary
art and events.
We started as curious visitors, attending exhibitions and cultural events.
We started as curious visitors, attending exhibitions and cultural events.
Over time, the
desire to create something of our own grew
stronger: a free, welcoming space where young
and emerging artists could find support and visibility. Matazz grew from that need, from the idea
of building something more open, more human.
What we do
Matazz is a platform that embraces different
forms of artistic expression: visual arts, live
music, installations, dance, video, and performance.
We are not interested in rigid categories or fixed
formats. Every event grows from the encounter
between the artists, the spaces, and the moment
we are living. What drives us is the desire to
create genuine experiences, capable of truly
connecting creators and spectators.
It was born from the desire to create
a space where contemporary art can
be experienced directly and authentically.
Not just an exhibition space, but a place
where emerging artists and audiences can
meet without barriers or formalities.
Our goal is to build real moments of connection, bringing together different
languages and people, beyond the traditional circuits.
